Positive Mitzvah 222

  Day 77Day 79

Positive Mitzvah 222: Divorce Procedure
Deuteronomy 24:1 "Then let him write her a bill of divorce and place it in her hand"

The Torah teaches us the proper manner through which a Jewish marriage becomes a union of holiness. If for some reason a marriage must be ended, there are specific laws that must be followed.

This Positive Mitzvah details the manner in which a couple may divorce.

Depression, anxiety and pessimism damage the channels of blessing from Above. These are the words of the Zohar:

"There is a lower world -- our world -- and there is a higher world.

"The lowr world is meant to continuously receive from the higher world. But the higher world will only provide in accordance to the lower world's state of being. "If the lower world glows with a luminous countenance, then it receives illumination from above. But if it wallows in depression and anxiety it receives strict judgement. "Therefore it is written, "Serve G-d with joy!" "And the joy of Man draws upon him another joy from above."
